SINOPSIS
América de 1920.
La Primera Guerra Mundial ha terminado y Wall Street está a punto de
explotar. Es una época de cambios: las mujeres obtienen el derecho al
voto, la radio llega a los hogares y los jóvenes gobiernan el mundo. Al
sur de Nueva Jersey se encuentra Atlantic City, un espectacular lugar de
vacaciones en el que sólo se respetan las reglas impuestas por Enoch
"Nucky" Thompson (Steve Buscemi), el tesorero de la ciudad, tan cómodo
en el papel de político como en el de gánster. La serie se inspira en la
obra homónima de Nelson Johnson, basada en hechos reales. Uno de sus
impulsores es Terence Winter, guionista de "Los Soprano", y el episodio
piloto, de casi veinte millones de dólares de presupuesto, fue dirigido
por Martin Scorsese.
