SINOPSIS

Hawaii 5-0 empezó a emitirse en septiembre de 1968 en la CBS, siendo una de las series más longevas de la televisión mundial pues su último episodio se emitió en abril de 1980. En España no llegaron sus episodios hasta principios de los 70.Sus inteligentes e intrigantes guiones y su paradisíaca ambientación eran los grandes atractivos de esta emblemática serie. Sin olvidarnos de su celebérrimo y muy tatareado tema musical,compuesto por Morton Stevens, posiblemente uno de los más recordados de la historia de la televisión.Jack Lord interpretaba a Steve McGarrett, jefe de una unidad de élite de la policía hawaiiana, bajo las órdenes del Gobernador Philip Grey, que luchaba "contra el crimen organizado, asesinatos, atentados, agentes extranjeros y felonías de cualquier tipo". James MacArthur interpretaba al lugarteniente de McGarrett, Danny ("Danno") Williams. El resto de la brigada estaba compuesta por el chino Chin Ho Kelly, el nativo hawaiano Kono, el detective samoano Ben Kokua y el hawaiano Duke Lukela. El archienemigo de la patrulla era el agente chino Wo Fat, cuyos planes siempre eran desbaratados por MacGarrett, pero que por otra parte siempre conseguía escapar de las manos de la valiente brigada policial.
